Simpson Strait buoys 9, 11, 12, 14 and 18 will remain deployed during the offseason, from October 2024 to August 2025. These buoys may be dragged off advertised position by ice movement, or remain under the ice. As a result, mariners are to navigate with caution in the area until those buoys are again commissioned in August 2025.

Buoy is yellow in colour, 42 cm high, 31 cm wide, flashing Amber 0.5s every 2.5s and connected to an orange surface float.
Mariners are requested to not pass between the yellow wave buoy and the orange surface float.
