Pennecon wharves in approximate position 51 28.55N 056 55.2W have suffered armor stone washout with cribs remaining intact. Cribs sit approximately 160 meters from shore line. Caution.
A scientific buoy, 1.5 metres in diameter, with a 1.5 metre tower and yellow flashing light, accompanied by two 60-centimetre marking anchors, have been placed in Lord's Cove in an area delinated by the following approximate positions:- 46 52.04N 055 39.46W- 46 51.98N 055 39.46WThe two anchors, marked with four yellow buoys, placed in December 2016, have been removed from the water.Caution.
A 26 foot (7.9 meters) sailboat with white hull and green stripes aground on the southwest side of Goat Island. Caution.
A 2017 sounding survey of Dalhousie channel was conducted by Public Works & Government Services Canada. It was compared to Canadian Hydrographic chart 4426. The following differences were found:Replace 23 feet (7 metres) with 19 feet (5.8 metres) at 48 04 28.2 N 66 21 58.8 WNote that depths are referenced to CHS chart datum, and horizontal positions are based on NAD83.

A sounding survey of Fox Dens gully was completed by Public Works and Government Services Canada on August 10, 2017.The Fox Dens gully buoyed channel has a limiting depth of 0.5 metres between psn 47 53 07.3N 64 29 45.0W and 47 53 07.3N 64 30 12.5W. Mariners should navigate with extreme caution in this area.Note that the limiting depth is below CHS chart datum and horizontal positions are based on NAD83.

Scientific subsurface mooring placed at 70 40.865N 126 52.280W, at a depth of 304 metres. The top float of this mooring extends 12 metres above the sea floor. Caution.
Due to high water levels, lights established on the Goderich breakwalls. Three lights have been installed across the North breakwall, and four across the South. Lights are visible 1.5 metres above the surface and characteristics yellow flash.
