Buoys |
Description | Due to the prevailing low water levels in the Mackenzie River, the Canadian Coast Guard will not be placing and maintaining any navigational buoys this season between Mile Zero (Wrigley Harbour) and Mile 952 (at the entrance of Aklavik Channel). Since not having been inspected, all fixed aids and remaining floating aids, in this section should be deemed unreliable. From Mile 952 south to Fort Good Hope, water levels are low and may be navigable. The navigable channels south of Mile 952 have not been verified. The situation will be assessed during the season as vessel traffic requires. |
