| Description | The vessel SS Corfu Island has been assessed as a hazard to public safety by Canadian Coast Guard under the Wrecked, Abandoned or Hazardous Vessels Act. The bow of the wreck is located on the beach at position 47 20.813N 061 57.014W and the wreck extends seaward in a southwesterly direction over 137.5 metres in length and 17.5 metres in width. It is forbidden to access or climb it for any reason. Mariners are requested to keep a wide berth from the wreckage. |
